Re: WE NEED TO MAKE A change!~!!!!
Well I don't have an SRT so you may have different views than me. I settled for a low mileage 2004 Coupe.
I am very conservative and thought one day I wanted to own at least one Corvette in my life. While just looking and not serious, I came across a Crossfire on a dealer lot - it really got my attention.
After looking at about 10 more of them in different variations, we settled for one. I knew it as soon as I pulled up to it. It was the PRICE that sold us on the Crossfire. It is unfortunate about the serious depreciation on these cars, but I took advantage of it and came out of it with a car I never thought I would have ever owned. I recall seeing the sticker on these cars when they first hit the market.
My plans of owning a Corvette are now forever gone. The Crossfire filled all the need at a much lower cost. I hear it all the time from people how I shouldn't be driving my car in the rain, it is a collectors car, for weekend drives and car shows. Sorry, I bought mine to drive, but still take very good care of it. People tell me these cars are going to be worth money some day. I laugh, some day I might be dead, for now I am enjoying the heck out of it.
As with many hobbies, when people start to think about the "future value" of their toys, the enjoyment is lost. I see it everyday in other hobbies I am involved in.
Just drive and enjoy the ride. James
