I can tell you the tuning problems that others have stated but never elaborated on deal mostly with the map and maf sensors. The only mods I have done lately is I switched to NGK plugs gapped at .030 and I put a muffler back on the car since I have a 45 minute drive to work now.
The mega quirt is a good DIY job. Let me know if you need any help with it. It's worlds cheaper than any other and you are getting pretty much the same thing for what you'd be using it for. Good luck and sorry toe hear about your previous position but glad to hear you found something as soon as you did. Hopefully it is as good as your previous or somewhat close as this economy is a dump right now.
