Not exactly such a great deal considering it has been moddified (no warranty) and been beat on with 50-60 flight down the 1/4 mile.
That's a hard life for any street car.
It was to be my reliable every day driver and was sold to me as such. I may have to work something out with the dealer. This wasn't what I was being sold.
Actually, I think its completely fine for a well-built AMG engine. That engine is probably in much better condition than an SRT-6 that has some woman driving it that barely presses the gas and never 'burns the cobwebs' out of it. Heck, it takes good pedal mashing to even suck the oil vapor out of the crankcase through the intake, a sissy driver will never do that and sludge starts building up.
Trust me, your car is probably doing great, especially at 18.5K miles. I'd just get prepared to replace some things in the next 20K miles. I'm at 30K and I've done.... New fuel pump, fuel filter, magnecor spark wires, drive belt, spark plugs, and IC pump. Given how hard the car has been driven, I'd do a tranny fluid change (but read up very carefully on fluid filling as you might not be capable). Mercedes' TSB says to do it at 40K, I'd do it ASAP, including a filter change and pan gasket, and honestly you'll be set for life with the tranny after that. Also, change the oil.
You're in good shape.
