I've probably beaten on mine harder than that with weekends at the road courses. Pushing between 30 and 110 mph for 20 minutes a session... eight sessions a weekend. Granted I've only been to four events, so I'm not an expert. But I also flog the poor thing regularly when I drive it on the street. I believe in getting up to the speed limit as fast as possible... more often than not, exceeding it and having to back down.
I'll be getting my second set of front tires since the original purchase in the next few months... and I've only owned the car about 2½ years and I've broken 50k miles on the clock.
Others have flogged the standard M112 engines terribly and they just keep going. Just ask Woody in Europe and HDDP about that...
