But if the previous owner raced it and this was not disclosed by the dealer - then I don't see how the dealer could then void the warranty.
I would ask for an "premium extended warranty" with zero deductible as compensation and the dealers good faith that they sold a reliable car.

It's a great car and you'll be happy with it - it's not like CHI/Town beat it to death....He took great care with the car..
The problem is that he bought this from an independent used car dealer, so while they could provide an extended warranty it may or may not be "honored" by either the warranty company or the shop handling the potential repair.
Unless this car was taken to a Chrysler dealership, and denied a previous warranty repair because of modifications and/or abuse then the original warranty will still be honored by Chrysler. He could easily contact a Chrysler dealership, and say he's interested in buying the car, but wants to know the service history. They should be able to provide a history of each time the vehicle was serviced at a Chrysler dealership.
I think the OP is just frustrated at buying a car that he feels was "abused", and is using the possibility of a voided warranty to get a discount, extended warranty, or even a refund.
