Default Re: $2,500 Help!!

Here's the story. I talked to Chrysler on Friday and they confirmed that the part was under the 8/80,000 warrenty. I called the shop where the work was being done and they told me they already ordered the part and could not return it. They told me to talk with the dealer about reimbersing me (since I already paid for everything) for the work they have done. When I got to the dealer, I talked to serveal people before I got to speak with the service manager in person. I told him how horrible the service at this brand new dealership was. He was totaly amazed on how bad the service was and wanted to help. I didn't even get a survey. He looked and they typed in my email address wrong!! I told him how I was so upset at the guy that was waiting on me and said that was why I took it somewhere else. They could NOT give me a gurantee on the parts they were putting in (ABS control module). So, I took it to another place. I told hime this other place said it was my PCM that was causing all of these problems. He was pretty amazed that his dealership could not diagnose the problem correctly (which is really strange). He told me the part needed to be replaced at the dealer only. I would have, but they screwed me around so much I was forced to leave.

He told me he would help me get my money back ($2400) if the PCM is truely bad. If it isn't the problem, then the place where I am getting it fixed would be out at least a 10% re-stocking fee of a $1700 part. They told me they tested the PCM and it WAS bad. So, I am going to wait till tomorrow and see if everything works. If it everything works ok, then I can most likely get my money back. If the part doesn't work, then the place that has my car now will be out some money and have to start all over again. Meaning I would be out of my car for another week . The worse thing that could happen now is if the part doesn't fix the problem and it really is the ABS control module. In that case I would be out around $1300 for parts and labor. This is a lot less than $2400, but still a lot of money.

I will let you guys know what happens. If it wasn't for this website, I would be out a lot more money than I needed. Thank you!
