I wanted a thicker oil when cold, because the Ow just didn't feel safe. You could hear the valves ticking away until it warmed up.

A thinner oil at operating temps allows for less drag and thus more HP. I don't know if it feels more responsive, but with the DBW more responsive is hard to measure.
