Many of you might not be complete gear heads because if you were, you would know that that is a classic paint job that originated back in the '50s for hot rods. Sometimes called suede, it wasn't flat black or satin black, it was just plain, old black primer. That's all some of the kids could afford, so they'd break out some primer and some hand painted flames. It is a tough look for period correct hot rods often called (unfortunately) rat rods today. Though cool on that Lexus, that is a look that should stay on hot rods, not modern sports cars.
