Just be sure to put an in-line fuse to take the place of the original fuse that you pulled.
This part of the quote is very important. If you remove the original fuse and don't install one in line with the switch, a shorted circuit could cause damage in the form of burnt wires or even a fire. Fuses are there for a reason.
