Uuugh Deer whistles, NO. They are bs. Try your horn-no effect.

I had a deer show at 1/2 mile in front of me on a sunny morning and I started blowing my horn, turned on the head lights and about 10' in front of me he bolted into the side/front of my 5 ton truck......WACK. They are dumb and dont know the whistle is to turn them around.

One night I hit one with my 88 daytona when he started to run across the road, but slipped and fell. MY driver wheel went over his neck and the right wheel got the big part. I went into the air flew and landed without damage. In VA there are plenty of them to cause damage to cars.

If I can pass along any advice it would be this:

Be safe and thin the herd, Woody
If a deer gets in front of you, STEER STRAIGHT, BRAKE , AND KILL THE S B.

DO NOT AVOID HIM BY SWERVING WE LOOSE TOO MANY THAT TRIED THAT AND KILLED THE CAR AND THE PASSENGERS.

He will slow you and the car is replacable. Swerve and youll probably loose control, hit a tree or someone else. Showing the insurance company the parts of deer is lots better than trying to convince them that an animal caused your costly accident.
