Wow Tom, the difference in our ages is really showing. My favorite Matchbox Car was a 55 Chevy Nomad (the only "Shoe Box" I wouldn't mind owning).
I get a kick out of comparing cars performance statistics, especially old ones to new ones. I think it's incredible how what once was considered "exotic" performance, can now be delivered/ and surpassed by a daily driver.
I guess Sonny & Cher's "The Beat Goes On" was more profound than we ever imagined.
