Mix baking soda with a little water and paint on the corrosion, it brings them back sparkling. I used to use a specially treated felt washer that fitted the post under the cable clamp, this stopped this corrosion. I will look for them as they worked and lasted quite some time. Over time this corrosion will eat the clamp away and make it impossible to clamp on the post securely.
