Troubleshooting & Technical Questions & ModificationsHave technical or modification questions about the Crossfire?

When I had my new differential put in this week the shop owner said he noticed that my battery was probably near its end. "How do you know this", I asked. He took the car back to the top of the lift and pointed to the ground cable from the transmission to the body. It was a greenish white color, clearly corroded[whether this is a result of a bad battery or water & salt from the roads(bare cable, no sleeve/coating) I haven't a clue]. So I'm going to replace this 9" or so cable but can't seem to find any info on it.
Anyone out in the xfire world know where to get one?
Changed my wifes 2004 yesterday. I lasted from purchase on July 4, 2003 till now. I had to replace the SRT two months ago. They seem to have used a pretty good product.

You changed the cable? Is this in any way a special cable or can I just go to Home Depot and get it?
I have not had to change any cables. My SRT gets driven very little now but my wifes is still a daily driver around town. Haven't seen an issue with cables.
I posted in this thread back in February 2009 when I replaced my battery for the first time
Today the Crossfire got a new battery
I bought my last battery in 2009 and it was a 7 year Interstate MPT-91
Well it lasted 1 month short of the 7 years without ever failing to start my car
It became weak sitting in my garage for a couple weeks and wouldn't hold a charge
So today I replaced it with another Interstate MPT-48/H6
This is now the equivalent replacement for the last one which is no longer manufactured.
Fits exactly as the OEM with the hold down in place
I'm good for another 6 years !!
$139 + tax at Firestone
Then a $10 mail in rebate through Firestone
This was the lowest price I found in my area and only $20 more than the equivalent battery 7 years ago
I've still got the OEM-supplied Varta in my 2007 Coupe! Haven't driven the coupe enough to wear the battery out after 9 years! A factor may be not nearly as many starts as those that drive their cars on a regular basis. And I do hook a charger up to it every 6 months or so to make sure it is fully charged. Probably will need a new battery in the near future.
