Default PWR Windows and Germans

With winter coming on i thought i would post this little Caviat about German Cars.

I have owned a few, mostly Benzes and my brother is a VW freak. Several friends have Bimmers and VW's.

Perhaps our sampling is an anomaly but the windows come loose from ther regulator tracks. By comparing notes, we have come to the conclusion that it seems to be the result of trying to open the window in icy conditions. It may be that the Bedding glue used to hold them gets brittle in the cold. Repair is simple but annoying.

Has anyone else observed this?

In any event, I would recommend caution when trying to lower your windows if they are iced. Let them thaw a bit.

Don't use the drive up. Get out and walk. Sorry
