Hey guy I did the diy code 3 cai about a month ago. Today i took some temp of air entering thur code 3 mod. With 65 degree odat at 60 mph crusing was reading 80 at c3 intake ,and 85 in oem intake hose. So i found when using the c3 diy mod the oem intake hoses are for the most part not being used to supply air to engine the c3 cancels out the oem. Sounds very good , But what effect on performance . Also when idling in traffic 64 0dat 186 at c3 and 119 at oem hose. Tomorrow i am going to seal c3 mod and take more readings . I bet that air entering sc will be very close to odat. 
SEAled c3 diy intake mod, 80 degree odat at 60mph had 82 to 85 degree entering intake. It appeared that the slower the speed the higher the intake temp . I was also thinking if the intake tubes are bigger this would result in the oda to move slower thur piping and have more time to absorb heat generated in engine compartment specially at lower rpms and lower speeds. Now i am going to take temp between motor and radiator to see what goes on temp wise with cai located there.
