It's just because the 185 is known to give more power. Some of the fastest SRT's are running a ASP 178mm, LET 181mm or C3 Pulley, not a 185. No one's posted times for a 185mm yet but I don't think it matters all that much between the 4 pulleys

A C32 might need the 185 to run faster since they're heavier.
