Not just retitled elders. I think it's sad these cars didn't get more play. But on the other side of the coin, I was able to buy a very cool Mercedes Benz on the cheap. Also, some of the coolest cars made didn't sell well and are highly collectible today. Examples from mother Mopar would be the AMX, The 1969 Charger Daytona, and the 1970 Plymouth Superbird. I like the rarity. I see too many in my area now.
The AMX was made by American Motors not Chrysler,,, Chrysler wanted the JEEP, not anything else and none of AMC's car names can be used without Chrysler's permission on T-shirts or in advertizing, you may see a car made by AMC on TV or a movie but they will never say " he just left in a AMX they will say he left in a 2 door red car. jim
