I buy an extended warranty on every car I buy, I don't like driving a car out of warranty. It's nice having that peace of mind. I tend to keep my cars longer than the basic 3 years but not as long as the full extended warranty (about 7 years) so I cash it in when I sell it and usually get a decent amount back. Make sure you shop around, the difference in warranty prices between dealers can be quite a bit.
