What would you do? (warranty)
Lets make something clear here... The law that says a warranty cannot be voided for aftermarket parts, unless that part specifically caused the problem, will not protect you unless you file a lawsuit. Until then, the dealer can tell you all he wants that your mod voids the warranty. Now you're out of a car for a month while finding a lawyer, spending $$$, and filing a lawsuit. So don't believe you're protected by the law simply because its the law... You're not. Its a long long road before you can overturn a dealer's decision to void your warranty.
I'll file suit in a heart beat, and my dealer knows it, and knows he will lose. You need to communicate with the dealership you do business with. I have bought over 30 cars with my dealer and when there is a dispute, the owner knows me, and knows how I take care of my cars...if he wants to be a *****, he knows I wrote the book...you just have to understand each other...now if you run to dealer to dealer and aren't a loyal customer, then you will have to fight...but make no mistake, I will sue a dealer in an instant....

BTW - my 7/70 warranty w/$100 deductable was $1460 after some haggling.
I contacted Justin and got a 7/70,000 maxcare $100 deductible warranty yesterday. He is easy to work with - we did most of it via email and PM. I elected to go with the option where you get your money back if you don't use it... The cost was $1615, and will be split over 12 payments at 0% from Chrysler.
I know there's a lot of folks weighing in on this. It's a matter of personal preference, and the money back option adds a new wrinkle.
Thanks to everyone for beng vocal and sharing info as they get it. And thanks, Justin, for making this painless.....

I just refinanced my SRT with Baxter Credit Union. My car has 20,000 miles and I bought a warranty from them. I got the Platinum coverage (additional 5 years/75,000 NO DEDUCTIBLE!). The warranty covers everything you can think of (plus they pay for hotel/food/towing if I were to get stranded somewhere with the car) and you can get the car fixed at any shop, which I like a lot since I don't trust dealership. It cost me $1,600. So you might want to check with your banks if you can get warranty from them.
Also, I think it would be easier dealing with the aftermarket parts since I will be taking it to my buddies shop.
