It's not a bad idea................it's WRONG to re-use the OEM crank bolt. ASP didn't manufacture and/or sell the crank bolt and that's their "bad" for not informing their customers of such a requirement. Maybe they figured the pullies would be installed by trained techs. who know that that bolt is one time use.
