WhoooHooo Again!!!
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to pass along the results of the weekend. I represented all of the Crossfire owners out there due to being the only one in the show. A while back, I posted that I was preparing my car with hopes to be accepted into a high caliber show that was based on an invitation. I had to apply by sending information on my Crossfire along with any accomplishments with pictures. I was not told until Thurs. that I needed to bring my car down first thing Friday morning. It was a good thing I spent close to 60 hours during the previous four weeks preparing. Most was going over it relentlessly with scratch remover and a paintball. Believe it or not, this is more effective than the Porter and your typical compounds. Anyway, this was an indoor show with approximately 150 cars in various classes. I was in a class with some nice cars including a pristine Prowler and a new Challenger SRT-8. It was a three day showw and by Saturday, over 5,000 people attended. It was a judged show by a panel consisting of about 6 people.
To my surprise, I won 1st place during the award ceremony. It was neat to say the least. You were called up on the stage as they showed a picture of your car on the big screen while they talked about you and the car. It made all the hard work worthwhile.
There are many people out there interested in the Crossfire and they had tons of questions. It was funny to see all the people really having a hard time figuring out what the car was as I have the badges removed.
On a side note, there was a husband and wife team there showing four Vipers. Believe it or not, they have 23 with two on order of the factory receives 200 orders due to them being closed down.
