My car is a daily driver but not in the rain if I can help it. It may sound strange but in the year and a half I have owned it, I have only washed it about four times. I detail it after every two days driving it to work etc. When you wash it, no matter how hard you try to avoid it, you put minor scratches in the paint during washing and drying. There are numerous things you can do to help keep them at a minimum but the best routine I have found is to wipe it down after each drive or two. The person that had all the Vipers does the exact same thing. I have a very long list of particulars I won't bore everyone with but maybe sometime I may write them down for those who are interested. I have been showing cars for a lot of years and used to live right outside of Carlisle Pa. and learned a lot over the years showing there.
I will try the posting for pictures again as last night did not work.

This part of your post caught my attention as a detailing fanatic. Can you give us some details and instruction on how you accomplished your prep.? I am always struggling with polishing paint and especially paint touch up trying to keep my cars looking like new or better. Is you Xfire a daily driver as well as show car? I would like to take my coupe to some local shows if I could get it looking "show ready".
