Everything mechanical that is under a wear condition is going to have a certain area that's worn. If you have changed the range of wear then you may get certain new sounds. A suspension is like a lever to shocks....change the rate of leverage and the shocks may be working in a different position. The same can be said of the bumpstops, springs, springmounts, urethane bumpers, etc.


Sorry...just not enough information to make a good educated guess. This is entireley based on the SWAG method.
16k miles. I really think it's the shocks. It isn't a metallic sound, it's a soft clop, clop sound. Something sounds loose, I don't know, maybe the dust covers on the shocks are hitting something.
