Default Re: Ansa Muffler

FP- I was referring to my magnaflow- photo-man had asked about the inlet size on my magnaflow since the one he purchased had a larger inlet to accommodate his larger OEM exhaust pipe. To make things clear on the ansa- Gary is correct it has a 2 step inlet, the smaller size is 1 7/8" the step up size is 2" our exhaust is 2 1/4". What my muffler guy did was cut the smaller inlet off and put the 2' inlet in the pipe expander machine to open the pipe up to fit the 2 1/4' exhaust and eliminate the step down photo-man had observed on Gary's photo. He also thought a 1/4 step down would not effect the hp or torque of the engine but did it to make me happy. One thing I would like to point out the ansa muffler is not stainless but has some type of black coating on it. Hope this clears up any confusion.
