Yeah, I am not a big track, or dyno fan. Although I plan on doing the dyno for the dyno day in I believe April at Dynosaur.
The 135 shot is the best thing since free ****. lol It shifts usually at 6200 to 6400 rpm now. The new NW style intake lost a smidge of the midrange hit when you first smash the throttle, but doesnt seem any slower on the big end. I also have 4 tie straps holding the engine down. 2 on the lower, and now 2 on the upper! Purpose built, but OMG 40 or 45 mph now on bald tires, it HOOKS!! I use to slide and change lanes when I would do that. I am also guessing the CAI helped out a little by moving my power band a little. ( I had a 3.5" CAI all the way to the radiator, then necked down to a 3" behind the grille)
I am almost ready for the track, I just dont go unless I dont think I will be dissapointed. I have New 285-30-19 Nankang NSII on order, and should be here by the end of the week. I am also going to be selling my dual s/s custom exhaust I believe. I am building a single 3" aluminum system, to save about 20 pounds. I have also found a pair of seats I would like, it will save 50 pounds off the car. Our factory seats are 48 pounds each (fyi) My goal is to make 500whp, and the car to weigh in at 3000 pounds. Should be good for a mid 10 with true slicks, imo.
I have deleted my egr, and air pump. Saved about 6 pounds. New heat exchanger idea soon, plus a ton of supercharger mods
Starting on those this week. I will post pics of the tie down straps if nobody gives me crap about it!! That is not why they are on there. Horsepower is nothing if you cant put it to the ground
Put new plugs and plug wires also. The CAI is also heat wrapped.
Everybody have a Great week!!
