Funny, Jeff. Charter in my home town is like $15 less expensive p/month than the DSL offered by the local telco.
Besides, since I'm a network dude by trade I get a stipend from the company for maintaining a broadband connection at home (half the monthly cost) so I can get bugged on the weekends & still get into the network from home. So, just like owning a cell phone, I can never 'get away' from work.
On the other hand, having a super-speedy dedicated internet connection (5Mb) via Charter is one thing, placing my trust in them for a VOIP phone line is a whole 'nother matter! Thank you, no......
