So I called to have the home phone cut off and just retain my high speed DSL internet connection.
The lady was very polite and told me that my current DSL internet was $30 a month but without a land line it would become $40 a month.
She then told me that if I kept the home phone active without and extras like caller ID, three way calling, call waiting and long distance
it would be $15.71 a month for local calls only and she could reduce my same high speed DSL internet to half ($15) of what I currently pay.

So bottom line is I keep the home phone and the same high speed internet for a total of $30.71 a month.
I still have 911 capability with a local land line and the same internet for what I was paying for just the internet previously.

Without caller ID ....well I guess I'll be hanging up the phone a lot more often instead of not answering it at all...LOL
