Hello, I Have An Important Question To Ask
Hi. I've been trying to find a cheap enough deal on a Crossfire for a long time now and I came across somebody who is selling a brand new 2005 SRT-6 with 10 miles on it for $12, 000 American. I know it sounds stupid already, that's what I said too so I questioned this person. They live in the UK and bought this car from California. He said he's selling it for so cheap because when he bought it, he didn't realize that the Crossfire didn't have EUR 3 in it, so he couldn't register it in the UK without having an individual procedure for it done from the Government, pass several technical tests and make lot's of changes to the car which he figured was too expensive so he wanted to sell it back to the U.S. Now here's where I come in. I live in Canada, so I said I was intrested. 12000 US dollars comes to 15 grand Canadian. Plus the shipping from the UK to here and what not, I want to use DAS. I'm unsure of what the rate there would be, but I also wanna know if anybody knows what kind of taxes and custom fee's are ontop of something like this? As well as, being in canada and this being an American car, will I have to change the guages or does the law care about that? I've checked everywhere but cant find that answer. When it's all said and done, if this pulls through, i've got a car that's worth $65 grand Canadian, for i'm guessing 20 grand or a little more? I'd sell it once it got here then buy a used regular Coupe 04 Crossfire, that way I own the car, owe no debt to the bank and have some money to spare in my pocket. Any feedback would be appreciated
