yes, as in liquid that you add to the tank, STP or others. Also, may disconnect the battery, leave it off for about a minute, rehook it back up and see if that resets. Finally, may be a throttle position sensor going bad. My father had an early 80's plymouth Reliant that would do that, and I had a buick park ave do the same thing. In the Buick it was the Mass Air flow sensor that seems to go out on a regular basis. The Reliant was something else that was too long ago to remember what exactly it was. My bet is that it's a sensor somewhere that gets overwhelmed when you floor it. So it just says the heck with this, I'm shutting down.
