Default Steering wheel vibration.

I've got a vibration at the steeirng wheel at around 50 MPH.
I had new tyres fitted last year and had a vibration after that so I assumed they hadn't balanced them correctly and had them rebalanced but it was still the same.
When I went back they noticed one of the front rims was out of shape from hitting a pothole so I had this straightened and it was still the same.
I have now bought a new wheel but the inbalance is still there.
They have now renewed the tyre incase it was that but it is still the same.

So does anyone have any ideas on what it could be?
There dosen't seem to be any play in the steering etc.

The only other thing I can think is to try and find somewhere that can balance the wheels on the car.

I am also thinking about buying another set of cheap wheels perhaps off a mercedes to rule out if it is wheel/tyre related.

I wish our car had a spare wheel for moments like this.
