I know nothing about the flat towing, but I would advise to turn off the anti-towing alarm from the switch on the dash. If this is not done, it will cause the cars alarm to go off because it thinks someone is trying to steal it. These cars have stability sensors and if not turned off, when you move the vehicle or cause the suspension to move, it will go off. Just my .02
