My theory is that our car can handle better, stop quicker, and is just plain better then most cars so our speed limit should be better as well.
I live in alberta and they are legal here.... I have the passport 8500 X50 Blue, cost was $500.00 or so from future shop, its good and if it stops just 1 ticket it can pay for itself if you count in increased insurance premium. But there is a new escort model the 9500 it uses gps to permanently lock of false alerts ie. walmarts auto doors valentines also i highly recommended detector it has fancy arrows that let you know if the "threat" is infront or behind you but i think permanently locked out radars would be much nicer since i slow down if it goes off either way in front or behind.....hope that helped
