Tire pressure affects tire wear and grip, I have kept mine at 32/33 to 33/34 with a nitrogen fill (for what thats worth) topped up with air. The wear pattern is very even on the Conti's for 12,000 miles. Not many miles for an '04 but bad wear shows up quickly.
