Gentlemen and/or ladies,

I'm normally a pretty passive person and figure that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and therefore keep mine to myself however:

I ride a Honda Goldwing with which I pull a trailer on some rides. I have a trip to go on in a couple of weeks where I need to haul some explosives back home and legally those must not be hauled inside an occupied vehicle and so a trailer is needed. Rather than to take my Durango and 8x10 trailer, I thought it would be convenient to put a hitch on my CF and pull the motorcycle trailer behind it. This led me to a Google search which lead me to this thread.

I'm telling all this to provide an example that that there are legitimate needs for pulling a trailer with a CF but what compelled me to register on the site and make this post is that I've never seen such a gathering of snobs in one place as I have here. I am a member of other forums and on these forums we try to disperse information and help others where possible. If they are doing something unsafe, we will tell them it is unsafe and explain why. The member who started this thread was never accused of attempting to do anything unsafe, the majority of the replies simply accused him of being a moron. If this is representative of the CF "family", I think I'd rather get rid of mine than to be associated with such a bunch of self righteous snobs.

In conclusion, if anyone has come up with a hitch that does not require exhaust modification or cutting holes in the bumper, please let me know. I have the equipment to build one from scratch but I don't have time during the next two weeks to get it done.
