The dealer wanted I think just under 19 for it out the door. That may could come off a little, but probably not a lot. The car had 43000 miles on it. Good looking car, no dings or dents, no leaks. Only issue was one of the little foglight covers had fallen off. Is that light cover something fixable, or is that pretty much screwed? Also, it had a bit of a squeak to it while driving slower. I am not sure what it was, and it wasn't loud at all. Just a slight sound, sounded like a plastic on plastic kind of thing. Anybody have any clue what that would be?
So do you guys think that's a good price? It was definitely over what we wanted to pay, but it's a maybe at the moment. We didn't get it, told them we'd get back to them. Should I try and talk them down a little lower, what do you guys think?
Edit: Need to mention it had a new oil change and brand new tires on it. Front rotors seemed a little worn, so they may need replacing in the not so distant future.
1. The headlight is an easily fixable issue. I can't speak from personal experience, but several forum members have replaced theirs.
2. There are several threads discussing squeaks and rattles and their appropriate solution. Most of the time if you know what area of the car it is coming from, you can find out what it is making the squeak. For example, one of the notorious squeaks, the real hatch, is solved with a 2 inch piece of electrical tape.
ALWAYS TRY TO TALK THEM DOWN!!!! I hope you soon get the Crossfire addiction!
