also isolating the i/c coolant from the engine coolant will have an effect on reducing temps in the i/c
i personally have the johnson cm30 on my car without any other mods and have seen no issues with the i/c. as funds allow i will upgrade the h/e and isolate the system. the reason i used the cm30 is that the stock pumps have a history of failure.
wally care to add anything?
Rasim- glad to see you ordered your mods. So you have a srt6? The nw intake and 178 is a great combination. You'll love the tune as well. As for your temps 40 cel is about 104 degrees. I'm in Arizona pretty much the hottest state in the united states. We already are at 40c and will be at 44c for the next 3 months. I don't have any cooling upgrades yet and do race in the summer and have not needed them yet. I don't drive my car hard when I'm not at the race track. Cooling upgrades will depend on your driving style and travels. As for the intercooler under the supercharger, don't recall anyone with a srt6 that has had one fail. AccuCrazy changed his with lots of issues, but not sure if it was just to upgrade cooling or if his was leaking? Remember the srt6 was made from all the left over parts of the slk32 and c32. It was the final years of production and most part failures, radiator(contamination), intercooler, pump were common on both cars by then. Maybe we got the upgraded parts on the srt6? The final version so to speak.

slk32krazy - what's the history of your car? Year, mileage, first owner? How many miles did your car have when your pump went out? There are only a few original owners of srt6's on here and I don't recall any of them have a pump failure. Most of us bought the left over new ones that sat for 2 years. The pump was fine but the plastic part inside was cracked. If a company just sold the plastic part, I don't think any would actually replace the entire pump. Mine was fine, but changed with a new bosch pump anyway in Sept 07. It's worked fine for 5000 miles so far. I do agree once the heat exchanger is upgraded that the extra flow from the johnson is beneficial. I question only that the johnson has only been used for 2 years max on the srts. Too early to tell if it's proven to have longevity over the bosch. Maybe 4 years after install and still kicking. Are the mustang and lightning guys changing to the johnson?
