I have only had my SRT about 4 weeks. Noticed that sitting at idle in gear I can hear like a muddled tick/knocking noise. Seems more pronounced when it is sitting at a light and less when I put it into neutral. Does not sound like valve noise.

Took it into Chrysler dealer this morning. Mechanic listened to it. Said it sounds normal for that type of car. It seemed less when we had the hood open rather than in closed postion. He said it could be anything eg: even noiser fuel injectors.

Anyone have any thoughts. Hard to describe noise in an email.

Realize I can turn up the radio louder like my daughter does.

May thow in a bottle of fuel cleaner to see if that helps injectors?.

Car seems to run strong and idle is good.
