The SLK is a hard top convertible which provides security, reduced noise, added value and is better looking when the top is down as compared to a rag top. I can't argue with you about the top. Just returned from Palm Springs in very windy weather, sounded like my top was going to blow clean off the car. However, I think the Crossfire is a much better looking car, The newer SLK's are a really good looking car, but the old one, I think not. The car in discussion is a 2002 with 30k on the clock. I would much rather pay up for a low mileage SRT than aquire this relic. Even if you want to make an argument as to values in twenty or thirty years, I would still pick the SRT as the better investment.
