Default 2002 Mb Slk32 Amg

The guy that sold me my SRT called and asked if I would be interested in this car. It is unique because the owner special ordered the color, Laguna Green, the only one in the US. It is a very nice color. I drove the car and it runs just like the SRT. The dash has the exact layout so you can really see where the Crossfire came from. The car has 29,000 miles. The bad thing was the center console was peeling. I was told that this is a common thing to happen to MB's. It's advertised on AutoTrader for $18,996.00.

I can understand why it's a 1 of 1 color. It is a good price(and all listed priced can be negotiated lower) for a low mileage true M-B AMG hard top convertible car. I was considering picking up a SLK32 myself one of these days just to have all the power(once modded) AND be able to drop the top.

That thing is hideous..I would stay away from any MB between the years of 99 to 2004. They have horrible reliablity issues. I had a 99 clk 430 and had a crank sensor position issue within 6 months. My cousin bought an 02' clk 430 and he had numerous issues. He finally sold it for somethig else because of all the problems. PASS IT UP!!

Some exec. probably tried to squeeze out a little more profit at the expense of a one hundred year reputation for reliability. Wouldn't be the first time, I'm sure it won't be the last time. With low milage SRT convertibles going for a reasonable rate why would anyone pay up for this green monster? It's a lot to pay for a three pointed star.

Buy that SLK32 and put it in your driveway next to this 911 Turbo, but only if you're colorblind...

Make sure you check out the interior.

Can't believe that someone would drive that Porsche in public without a bag over their head.

Other than the ugly exterior color and not-so-nice interior(compared to SRT-6) the SLK32 is a MUCH better convertible. The SLK is a hard top convertible which provides security, reduced noise, added value and is better looking when the top is down as compared to a rag top. I would only buy one in the metallic blue color which is pretty rare as well..........but looks SOOO much better.

I can't argue with you about the top. Just returned from Palm Springs in very windy weather, sounded like my top was going to blow clean off the car. However, I think the Crossfire is a much better looking car, The newer SLK's are a really good looking car, but the old one, I think not. The car in discussion is a 2002 with 30k on the clock. I would much rather pay up for a low mileage SRT than aquire this relic. Even if you want to make an argument as to values in twenty or thirty years, I would still pick the SRT as the better investment.
