Default Car in shut down mode

Need help
I've read most of the posts on what to do if your car does not start or starts for 2 secs and then shuts off. I was lucky the first time it would not start and was able to drive it home. Now it will not start

  1. 1. Replace relay module or fuel relay module 2. Replace crankshaft sensor. 3. disconnect battery cable so system could reset.
I thought the problem would be the relay control module so I went out purchased a new one, installed it and car still would not start. Then I purchased the crankshaft sensor but did not installed it because I had remembered my mechanic had taken off the tire before I came home and he said it triggered the alarm. Question? Would it cause any problems if I disconnected the battery cable even though I installed a new module?
I have not driven it since Sunday June 14th. thanks
