Car in shut down mode
Need help
I've read most of the posts on what to do if your car does not start or starts for 2 secs and then shuts off. I was lucky the first time it would not start and was able to drive it home. Now it will not start
I have not driven it since Sunday June 14th. thanks

1. Replace relay module or fuel relay module 2. Replace crankshaft sensor. 3. disconnect battery cable so system could reset.

Disconnect the battery for 15 - 20 minutes and hook it back up. It should not create any problem...and may just clear up a few. Hope the module was your problem. Try it and let us know the outcome.
Security issue? There is a dash button on my limited to turn off in tha event of a Tow. It Deactivates the alarm. Yours may have thought it was being lifted and shut down. Check the manuel.
Well...i disconnected both cables probably about for 10mins car almost started but went dead again. Clock shows 12:00. We checked the battery and its charging good. I will disconnect it once again and wait at least 20 min. or more. Also the panic button should work after all is reset even if the car does not start right!!!!. I do have a crankshaft sensor on standby just in case none if this works. wish me luck. I need it to go to work on Monday.
It's the same one from the day i purchased it Feb 2008. It was connected to meter and read ok. Any waited and hour this time..clock did reset panic button working now. but when it starts and shuts down immediately.
Does the Crankshaft Sensor need to show a code before it goes out. or can it just fail without showing a code.
stressing just a little now

A friend had a simular problem with a Chrysler Aspen. There is a security sensor in the key remote and they changed to their spare key and it worked fine. It might be worth a try.
Spare Key did not work...Called a Mobile Tech. that has a computer and will search and hopefully find the problem and clean the codes. I will keep everyone posted thanks for the support as usual.
Hey guys thanks for all the support really appreciate everyone helping out with suggestions.
Heres the update
Replaced Relay moudule
crankshaft sensor
new interstate battery
Still not starting tries to start and shuts down
will be getting a camshaft sensor module Tuesday
If the camshaft sensor does not start the car I was told that the only thing left is the timing is out of sync. and they have to take apart the engine and manually reset the time. I've never heard such a thing. Has this happened to anyone in this forum. Any suggest would help

Off to the dealership she went ...tech said about 5-7 days for computer module gone bad will replace it free. Some kind of Fed Emissions Law would have cost $1700. But will let you great folks know when i'm up and running again. Thanks for all the help/support greatest forum ever.
