I never even insulted the your car in my initial post, all im saying is his story is BS. Your the one calling my car ugly so i'll will defend myself...obviously my opinions dont matter since of course everyone on here is biased toward their car, so i'll refrain from telling you what i really think of your car. and where did i say i bought my car for drag racing? all i said was it would beat an evo in a drag race, in response to your comment about an evo beating an STI around a track. my point being both cars have their advantages and disadvantages. I thought i was a man of looks when I chose to buy the RX8. We all know that car is not the best in performance, It's a great handler/ride but not very fast. now i realize performance is more important to me so i got an STI. If I went from a car soley based on looks to a car soley based on performance, then where does that leave the crossfire in my eyes...In neither category, so stop thinking your car is the sh*t and everyones jealous cuz we're not. I'm simply a car enthusiest reading about other cars on the road.
your first post actually did insult the crossfire. don't think i wont remember because you found out you can edit your posts on this forum no matter how old they are. your sad bro, they guy admitted he should have lost, so has everyone else, and no one says their crossfire performs as well as your sti, power wise. my only point with the evo was that if you were a super-car enthusiast who buys cars soley based on performance, you would have got the evo. the evo has pretty much won every comparisson i have ever read when compared to the sti. the sti is a nice car, but no evo. it has a very *slight* power to weight ratio advantage and the power of these cars are basically equal when similar mods are applied, and the evo has a better top end because of its aerodynamics. fact is, for 5 dollars any guy who builds a boost controller for his evo would beat an sti with the same mod in a drag. if you just wanted the fastest straight line car you would have bought the srt-4, run 12's all day for 2 grand. fact is we all make compromises. next fact is, a crossfire will beat an rx8 anytime anywhere. the guy on rx8club brags about running a 14.58 and everyone else is really really jealous and excited.
and like i said, trade offs. another big reason i got the crossfire was because i love rwd. my first car was an rx7. after that i never wanted to fwd or awd, to much understeer. the evo is sick though, doesnt have much understeer. rx8 does though. sti has a little, but not bad.
