Apples and Oranges. Both are fruite but different types. STI and CF. both are cars but different types. Bullseye, could it be that the 350z thatt you raced was modified?? The 0-60 time is .6 seconds beter and in gear performance is again slighty better but, on paper he should have not waxed you.

-what are you talking about, I had the option twice to get a crossfire..once when i was in the market for the RX8 and again when i was looking at the STI, face it i DONT like the car, i'm on the site because i like reading about other cars, and I go on other forums to read about other cars (does that mean i'm jealous...no, I have the money to buy these cars, I just didnt choose them). I never even insulted the your car in my initial post, all im saying is his story is BS. Your the one calling my car ugly so i'll will defend myself...obviously my opinions dont matter since of course everyone on here is biased toward their car, so i'll refrain from telling you what i really think of your car. and where did i say i bought my car for drag racing? all i said was it would beat an evo in a drag race, in response to your comment about an evo beating an STI around a track. my point being both cars have their advantages and disadvantages. I thought i was a man of looks when I chose to buy the RX8. We all know that car is not the best in performance, It's a great handler/ride but not very fast. now i realize performance is more important to me so i got an STI. If I went from a car soley based on looks to a car soley based on performance, then where does that leave the crossfire in my eyes...In neither category, so stop thinking your car is the sh*t and everyones jealous cuz we're not. I'm simply a car enthusiest reading about other cars on the road.

The whole time i was "RE-reading" this post i could not stop laughing. This post is over 3 months old LOL. Murph get a life. Like I said to many baffoons before you, he was pulling on me nasty style, then he missed his shift, and i went ahead. In no way am i faster, just got lucky, thats all. I post all my losts. I just lost to a legacy. By about a 1/4 or so of a car length but he never missed a shift. Also with out the launch the sti's are not that quick. For example I beat a 12 second modded WRX from a very slow roll with my bone stock 13.2 mach 1 And beat him. With out the launch these STi's go from 5-60 in about 6 seconds flat. The EVO is even worse since it has uber lag compared to the sti. But yet with thier launch they are both running 0-60 under 5 seconds with a good driver. So dont call me a liar if you know the whole story. I have nothing to hide. If i won i won if i lost i lost. And if you are talking about cars that perform, I have owned them. Anything from a 2001 Bmw M3 to a 2003 Mustang Cobra(race that on a roll) LOL I respect the STi itself, but seems almost all the drivers leave something to be desired. Such as common decency. You guys almost act as childlike sometimes as the SRT-4 guys. That is no joke.

He could have been modded. Don't really remember now, that was quite some time ago.
We raced on the highway to about 115-120. He was walking away from me. But like i said he could have been modded.

your first post actually did insult the crossfire. don't think i wont remember because you found out you can edit your posts on this forum no matter how old they are. your sad bro, they guy admitted he should have lost, so has everyone else, and no one says their crossfire performs as well as your sti, power wise. my only point with the evo was that if you were a super-car enthusiast who buys cars soley based on performance, you would have got the evo. the evo has pretty much won every comparisson i have ever read when compared to the sti. the sti is a nice car, but no evo. it has a very *slight* power to weight ratio advantage and the power of these cars are basically equal when similar mods are applied, and the evo has a better top end because of its aerodynamics. fact is, for 5 dollars any guy who builds a boost controller for his evo would beat an sti with the same mod in a drag. if you just wanted the fastest straight line car you would have bought the srt-4, run 12's all day for 2 grand. fact is we all make compromises. next fact is, a crossfire will beat an rx8 anytime anywhere. the guy on rx8club brags about running a 14.58 and everyone else is really really jealous and excited.
and like i said, trade offs. another big reason i got the crossfire was because i love rwd. my first car was an rx7. after that i never wanted to fwd or awd, to much understeer. the evo is sick though, doesnt have much understeer. rx8 does though. sti has a little, but not bad.

I don't give a sh*t about the evo, you think your like hurting my feelings...OMG that car can get around a track 1/100the of a second faster than my car (which is better than everytning in its class, and even above its class in some cases), big deal...I will give up some track performance for reliablility. and two of my friends have a evo's so there is no point in me gettting one...get a life, your arguements are weak and make me laugh.. Your just throwing theories out there such as me buying this car as a drag car, when the only time i mentioned the word drag race was when i said it would beat an evo. Your throwing the evo into this conversation because you have nothing else to defend yourself with so you choose the next thing that you think might get to me. sorry bro your actually pretty pathetic. Hopefully you'll remember me insulting you in this post "before i edit it"

This murphrx8 guy just likes to be a pain in the A. After reading a few of his posts on this web site, I thought I'd see what he posts on RX8 web sites. What I found is that he likes to take posts from our forum and link them to the RX8 forum to stir a little dust. According to one of his posts on the RX8 forum, he's already been banned from our forum once.

As I see it, he can post here all he wants, but I just wanted to be sure everyone knows his true intentions, to cause problems. Go ahead and check out his posts on the RX8 club forum and see what I mean. You better hurry before he edits his posts...

I was being sarcastic with the "You better hurry before he edits his posts...", I apologize for the misunderstanding. However, you are not adding much value to this forum by resorting to name calling.

Like I said, you can post here all you want, I just wanted other forum members to know what you're up to. I have no ill will towards you, you definitely add some excitement this forum and I do enjoy reading some of your posts.

I respect your cars, they are nice looking cars with class, but i am in no way jealous as X'ed would say...sorry tihs esculated to where it is, i was just stating that i didn't believe the outcome of the race...who knows what happened i wasn't there. Sometimes i retaliate to comments when i should of left it alone. peace man

i never intend to give this forum a bad rep. Alot of other people just like to lie down when our car is insulted, i dont. i hate trolls more that anything when im cruising my own cars forums. this post was cool until i read in the crossfire vs. z06 post (which is in the racing forum if anyone wants to read it) that you said an rx8 could beat the crossfire from a stop, from a roll or on the highway, because thats just not true and if you go over there you'll see why. i could post all the links i have bef0re showing how rx8 owners never believe fellow owners who've hit 14's in the quarter mile. you havent contributed anything positive to any of your posts on this forum. all you've done is talk s*it, and if you really did brag about already once beeing banned from this site, that just shows how much of a loser you really are.

"i mean a few have broken into the 14's, one of them, judgeito, very respected rotary tuner, broke two tranny's doing it. rx8's are slow pigs."

~You obviously have no respect for other cars, your car is no hot rod..so for you to call the rx8 a slow pig is outrageous. Thats why i responded to that thread...Your asking for other car owners to flame back at you..granted you have the right to say what you want, but so do I. I could see if you were a vette driver and made that comment, but your not...you drive a car that is at best equal to the rx8 speed wise. your just ignorant...and please, i'm still waiting for your response to what i editied in my post...please humor me

you know what, i have been in the rotary world for like 6 years which is why i iknow of tuners like ito. i had, up until a few months ago, a first gen rx7 with a 13bt turbo 2 swap running on a wolf 3d ecu and a turbo 2 tranny with a ford 9" rear end that put down over 350hp to the wheels, so i do have a right to call the rx8 a pig, and having driven both my crossfire and the rx8, i know its a pig. it handles well, yeah, but with a boatload of body roll and it unless you spanks the cluthc youll run a mid 15. 5-60, crossfire will probably have 2 carlenths on an rx8. my old car stomped z06's. do the math 350whp and 2000lbs, 2170 with driver. thats what 400 crank hp probably. anyways i ran a 11.5 at palmdale so maybe i know a thing or two about fast cars. and the edit thing, of course i don't remember exactly what you said, but it was something about the way our car looks, and you know you said it, so stop trying to look like the good guy. fact is, you've been banned from here once, per your rx8 club postings, so why should anyone believe anything you say. ultimately, im done with you and this topic. bye........

you would remember what i said if i commented on the looks, because i have very strong opinions on what i think of the crossfire. and if you look at my inital response to this post, you can see that a comment about the cars appearance has nothing to do with what i was talking about...i stating his story was bs, and speak about the cars performance. why the hell would i bring up anything about the appearance, when i know my cars not the most beautiful thing on the road. your mind is a scary thing, next you'll be saying i admitted to killing JFK but edited that out as well.
