Theres no way you can convince me theres a difference if it's turning the supercharger the same RPM. Now lets hear about the different tunes. As I would also like to see if they really make a difference with CAI and pulley already in place in true street trim, not cooled and iced down intakes and supercharger at the strip.
The 178 does spin faster than the SC pulley, search for it. It's already been posted, but that doesn't really prove much since the 181 and 185 also spin faster. It's more what the car will be perform at its best without a downside. The original claim when the SC pulley came out that it was equal to the 178 but much easier to install. It's still just a claim because so far no one has proved for it to even be equal. Still a great entry level option to pulley modding, even with belt slip. On to the tunes, the right one will make a huge difference even with just a CAI. Pick the one to your driving expectations. Some are designed for specific parts combos and others are just a base tune. Then so many in between. This summer is supposed to be the big break out record breaking season for the mid and east coast players. Stay tuned.
