People are mourning the entertainer that started in the public eye at 4 years old and changed the face of pop music - not the Wacko Jacko of later years. Plus, when was the last time we lost a President unexpectedly? Kennedy? I bet for the time THAT was a bigger story. When we lost Reagan, Nixon, Ford we knew it was coming.

Anyone who sold 750,000 records is going to get a lot of attention when they die. How much attention did John Lennon & Elvis get when they died?
Most recognizable face? Heck he looked different practically every time you saw him, he only looked the same when he wore a mask. He was one sick puppy. No tears for him, just for his victims.
