this is really good reading....I actually got to meet MJ, he came to town after a local kid passed away, along with Donald Trump, Elton John.....I was on duty that day, and escorted them to the kid's house...he was strange in his demeanor, but always polite, and respectful...as for the allegations...several kids from our town spent time at his place, and none were ever approached in any manner that would be considered "out of line." People like him are targeted all the time, and its easier to pay them off than go thru all the crap...oh, the kid was Ryan White...my neighbor, and he too took a lot crap tht wasn't warranted, just because he had aids...each to his own...

 

They just release audio tapes of his time with Ryan White. I do think it is awesome that he hung out with Ryan when most people treated him like crap due to fear. The attention given to the Ryan White case - in large part because of MJ - changed the face of AIDS & AIDS research. No doubt that MJ was very peculiar & made some very questionable personal life choices, but there was a time when he used his fame to do some good.

 

I do remember how sad that was!

 

When your charged with a crime in this country and famous your "GUILTY" no matter what the jury says!! Look at the comments from the "POUPON BOYS" ?? Soil the ground what a friggin moron!!! FARRAH was his only date , a date with a "POSTER' and his mommy's "HAND CREAM" Locked the door and his was date"in FARRAH!! Sad this still goes on!!!!!!

 

I really think that MJ got into mental or other trouble late in life. Not so sure I like/liked the guy - but in any event, 50 was too damn young to go!

It was refreshing to read that he was involved in Ryan White's life in a positive way.

 

MJ seemed to have lived a life of sadness. Really talented musician and dancer. Didn't really listen to his music though. I think he was probably kind hearted.

Not sure if he was guilty of the sick charges and rumors. Like you say it may have been about extorting money.

I don't think it's right to charge money and sell tickets to a memorial though. People who try to make money from a persons death or tradgedy are sick and greedy.

I feel for the children.

MJ told horrible stories of his childhood and his father. Why would you want these children exposed to the same thing.

His family is on one side trying to exploit his death and his ex is on the other. What about these children?
