ABC News is reporting that when word got out about MJ dying that it crashed Twitter & Google for 40 minutes. That's a man with a huge cultural impact. People are mourning the entertainer that started in the public eye at 4 years old and changed the face of pop music - not the Wacko Jacko of later years. He gets more attention than a US President because he was the most recognizable face in the world for years. His death has a global impact. Plus, when was the last time we lost a President unexpectedly? Kennedy? I bet for the time THAT was a bigger story. When we lost Reagan, Nixon, Ford we knew it was coming.

Anyone who sold 750,000 records is going to get a lot of attention when they die. How much attention did John Lennon & Elvis get when they died?

Callus or not.....MJ was probably the greatest entertainer of his time......but his personal issues will follow always, even through death. Sad week for the entertainment industry !

Damn, wish I still had that Farrah poster !

MJ was the greatest entertainer of all time, not just of his time. His body of work is unrivald by anyone period. If you have to ask why MJ is getting more press than farah your either incredibly ignorant or just a complete moron. RIP MJ

You my friend are incredibly prophetic or just another internet dumba$$ poppin off through the wrong orfice !!!

First, I stated that MJ was the greatest entertainer of HIS time, meaning his work and showmanship are indeed unrivaled for the period for which he is known. Leaving room for some incredible future performer to take his place. But pardon me your powers of interlect extend far into the future and according to you Michael will be unopposed thru eternity !

Secondly, I neither mentioned nor implied that MJ was gettin more press than Farrah nor do I give a big heepin pile of steaming dog manure !

So if you must talk outcha A$$ at least get your facts straight ...... MoRoN !!

It sort of makes sense that MJ is getting more press than Farrah - he's one of the top selling musical acts in history and truly an icon in the industry - WORLDWIDE. Certainly Farrah was known worldwide but her overall popularity wasn't as great as MJ's.

But the HUGE difference...... Farrah's seriously declining health was well known and everyone knew it was just a matter of time before she passed. MJ was a total shock (except, maybe, for a few close insiders apparently). It's the shocking suddeness of his passing that caught everyone off guard. All the Farrah talk the past couple of months has been her brave fight with a horrible, terminal disease. All the MJ talk has been his upcoming comeback tour scheduled to start in a few weeks. Even if their fame had been equal the shocker would have gotten the publicity nod.

Geez, maybe you're smarter than I give you credit for.....both my Mom and my Aunt wore combat boots in WWII. My Mom was a WAC and my Aunt was a welder in the Navy ship yards.

Most recognizable face? Heck he looked different practically every time you saw him, he only looked the same when he wore a mask. He was one sick puppy. No tears for him, just for his victims.

Like him or not (and I was not one of his biggest fans), his STAR is/was much bigger and brighter than Farrah's.

You remember when Mother Theresa died, right after Princess Di? Who got more press?

3/4 million concert tickets sold out in 10 minutes. Who else could have done that?
