I am seeing two names of tyres kicking around here. One is Goodyear, and the other is Toyo. I will be honest and admit that I have not heard of the latter until recently, but they do seem to be mentioned here a lot, and their prices seem to be around the Goodyear mark.

So, before I book up some new fronts for mine, what’s good about Toyo tyres? I’m not looking on spending bank-busting amounts on tyres - my benchmark is Goodyear F1s, and Toyo have tyres that fall in that price bracket. Just keen to know if there is some magic spark in Toyo that I should know about.

I feel that whatever goes on the front will end up on the back as well, so I’m making a long term decision for all 4 wheels. What are the panel’s thoughts?
