It has outsold any other OS on the planet and Microsoft is STILL licensing this to OEM System builders till the end of 2009, so with it still being a cash COW, I am sure they care.

And XP will continue to be the OS of choice until Microsoft can convince corporate customers that there really is a good reason to upgrade.
As of today, there isn't!
Massive retraining of the user base, massive hardware upgrades; all are scary things for corporate IT Depts.
I know we won't be making any switches until there's a firm reason to do so.
