changing the fuel filter does not require a DRB, nor does it throw error codes.

theres no repressuring procedure after the filter change. you may have to hold the key for a little longer to get it to start though.

ive always gotten OE replacement filters; couldnt find anything aftermarket the first time i did it, and i havent looked for one since. $100 once a year? its worth it.
